Could my husband be discharged from the Navy for his cutting?

My husband has not been doing well since he joined the Navy, and tends to cut to relieve stress. He has been very depressed and sometimes suicidal since he joined. He had seen a psychologist when he was in Pt. Hueneme, and the doctor had agreed to not tell his command because my husband wanted to stay in. We were transferred to a different base where my husband has not seen a doctor. Now my husband wants out (he's on his first deployment, in Kuwait). If his command was aware of his cutting problem, would he be discharged?
