Is my snowboard to narrow for me?

I just bought a Rome SDS Crail 159 that has a width of 249. I have a size 10 foot am approx 170 pounds and am 5'9". I put my bindings on and my boots in my bindings and i noticed that they hang over. i don't have any snow yet so i cant test it out but if i were to take it riding for a day could i still return it to the store?
