Lower back tattoos? Explanation?

Why are they so bad? Does every really considered people with them tramps or whatever? Why is that? I kind of was thinking about getting one cus i think the tattoo i want would look good there. -a snowflake. but if it really has that bad of a rep i was just going to get it on my shoulder blade, but yeah.... i dont know.
