My 1996 ef ford falcon possible electrical problems?

when driving the dash lights dim and sometimes brighten it also loses some engine power and trans doesnt kick back properly when lights are dim! we've been told the alternator is fine and we have checked all fuses! however spot lights have been put on the front and we are not sure if that is also the problem! please help we only just purchased the car two days before theses problems started!
