Why should you go to the hospital when having a TIA?

a TIA is an early warning, in the hospital they can do more to prevent a full blown stroke. When someone is having a TIA, they are not thinking competently, in your position, I would have called an ambulance and not given him a choice about going. You need to take authority and control when a TIA occurs, you don't ask if you can call 911, you just do it, you don't try to convince him, you simply tell him, he's going.
