What to give a sick 7 month old?

My son just turned 7 months old 2 days ago. We are out of state (ca) visiting family (in wa). All of a sudden he came down with a horrible runny nose and he is congested so bad he cant get a good night sleep, or even a nap. He has a hard time having a bottle because he cant breathe through his nose at all. We have been to my moms house numerous times and the weather is beautiful so im uming its just something in the air? Anyway, I give him saline nose drops often and occasionally some tylenol if he seems to be in pain. I will be getting a humidifier tonight but do you have any other suggestions? My dr told me to never use the bulb sucker as it just causes the nose to get swollen. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.. Thank you
